Manchester United TABLES £49.6m For Champions League & World Cup Winner

It’s testing times at the Santiago Bernabeu, as the leadership of Real Madrid led by Florentino Perez are locked in a battle to stave off Manchester United’s pursuit of one of their prized assets. Real Madrid are locked in a two way battle to convince Sergio Ramos to accept what Real Madrid have to offer and to ignore the advances of the red devils.

A rejected opening offer of £35 million has been improved to £49.6m and with Sergio Ramos holding out for more cash at the Santiago Bernabeu, it is believed that this offer will weaken the resolve of Real Madrid.

With his contract at the Bernabeu yet to run out, real Madrid can keep him for another season, but would eventually lose him on the cheap if not tied to another contract. United know this and are capitalizing on the contractual disagreements to press home what would amount to a big coup for them.

It is believed that Sergio Ramos has told both Real Madrid and Manchester United that he wants to play at Old Trafford next season. His loss will come as a big blow Los Blancos fans. Even as the deal is yet to be concluded, United are working on other deals should this deal not come through, while Rafa Benitez is keen on keeping the centre back.
