Medical Imminent, Chelsea To ANNOUNCE Transfer Of Powerful Midfielder

Chelsea look set to add another player to their loan army. The latest addition is promising attacking midfielder, Jeremie Boga who is on the verge of completing a season long loan deal to French Ligue 1 side Rennes.

Boga who is highly regarded by the coaching staff at Stamford Bridge looks to have a bright future in the game. The young French midfielder had been hotly contested by La Liga side Rayo Vallecano but it appears that the French club has gazumped the deal from the Liga side’s grasp.

With Chelsea baosting of world class attacking midfielders in their ranks, the only way young Boga would get valuable first team minutes at a competitive level would be to go out on loan. The youngster is yet to make his debut for the Premier League champions but featured heavily for the Under-21 side last season.

The player looks set to get significant playing time with Rennes but with news linking the club to Yoann Gourcuff for free, a competition for playing time with the veteran could limit his first team minutes.

Rennes manager, Philippe Montanier usually adopts a 3-4-3 system for home games and a 5-4-1 system away from home. So apparently, the young attacking midfielder would likely see game time as a winger or a wide midfielder rather than his favoured central number 10 role.

According to the Independent, Boga preferred a move to his homeland rather than Spain to develop his game and hopefully push for a place in the Chelsea first team in the future.
