Newcastle United & Leicester City Unveil New Sleek Puma Kits
By the looks of things Puma are doing alright for themselves. Arsenal won their first pre-season game in their new Puma black and pink third kit after revealing it on the backdrop of the Sydney sunset a couple of days before the game.
Looking to keep that winning feeling in the Premier League Puma have also unveiled a couple more kits. Enter Newcastle United and Leicester City who, like Arsenal, unveiled their respective away and third kits with a sunset backdrop as part of Puma’s #StepOut campaign.
Both teams took to social media to reveal how they’ll be looking on the travels for the upcoming season. Newcastle chose to go for a Facebook Live video from St. James’ Park whereas Leicester went for an Instagram story as fans were encouraged to #FollowTheFoxes (the club mascots) from Leicester Cathedral to the club shop. I’m sure you’ll be wanting me to reveal the kits by now so here you go:
Both are looking very sleek and smart with the very minimalist but efficient designs. The colour schemes of the black and gold are also very eye catching, hopefully both teams will be as eye catching as their kits this season as Newcastle look to make good on their Premier League return and Leicester hope for an improvement on last year.
It’s not just the colour schemes that catch the eye but also the club crests. For Newcastle it’s extra special as the club come into their 125th year the definition and border around the crest make it stand out just as much as the gold on the shirt.
Expressing his thoughts on the new kit Christian Fuchs said: ““As the official mascot of Leicester City, it seemed only right that we let the foxes reveal the new away kit on the club’s official Instagram page. I love the new all black kit and can’t wait to pull it on this season!”
Newcastle player Isaac Hayden also had something to say: ““I’m buzzing with the new kit designed by PUMA, the all black look is class! It’s gone down well with the lads in the dressing room. It’s great to be back in the Premier League, this is where this club belongs, I can’t wait to get started!”
