Neymar Keen to Leave Barcelona as Man Utd Placed a World Record Transfer, Neymar Will Earn Shocking £290,000-a-week

Man Utd are plotting a sensational move for Barcelona star Neymar, according to reports. Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri claims that Man Utd are ready to offer a world record transfer fee for the services of the Brazilian and are willing to make him the highest-paid player at the club

Palmeri said: “Manchester United told Neymar that they are ready to break any world transfer record fee. Which means double what was paid for Gareth Bale.”

“Also, to break any Premier League record for wages which means almost double Wayne Rooney’s. Manchester United are ready to pay around £15.1m net to Neymar, which is double what he is on at Barcelona.

However, Palmeri also reports that local rivals Man City are hot on the heels of United and are ready to go toe-to-toe for Neymar.

According to the report, City have informed Barcelona that if Neymar becomes available in the transfer market, they will be willing to match any offer for the player.

It is reported that Neymar is unhappy at Barcelona due to tax evasion charged, and a big-money move could tempt him away from the club.

France publication BuzzSport reported that the Brazilian is considering his future at the club after being dragged into a fraud case over his arrival from Santos in 2013.

Back in November, Neymar’s father, who also works as his agent, suggested that his son could leave the Catalan club due to tax issues.

‘We are receiving attacks from the Spanish tax authorities,’ said the superstar’s father to Spanish radio Cadena Ser. ‘If we cannot work in Spain, we will have to leave.’

‘We are receiving a lot of attacks in Spain and Brazil, and it is difficult. I don’t want to use the word “persecution”, but if we don’t have a comfortable situation to work in, we will not stay in Spain. If we are causing problems, we will not be able to stay.’
