Official bid made - Manchester United to complete signing of £20m attacker

It’s a known issue that Manchester United is struggling with getting the ball into the back of the net of their opponents. So when report filtering out of Old Trafford stated that Manchester United are preparing to make a bid worth £20m for the skilful Saints winger Sadio Mane, it didn’t come as a surprise.

Manchester United was reported to have bid for the same player towards the closure of the summer transfer window. Southampton however was able to hold on to their man after they failed to do the same for Schneiderlin, who switched to the Red devils.

Mane is currently enjoying a good spell of form this season with Southampton, tormenting defenders all over England with his blistering pace, strength and skills. It is said that Manchester United prefer Mane as he will only need little time to bed in because he is well suited to the English Premier League and he’s been playing in England for some seasons.

Louis Van Gaal has made it no secret that he wants a quick, aggressive and creative winger when the window reopen in January, a profile Mane fits perfectly. However, it seems Southampton are not interested in listening to offers for their priced asset except Manchester United can make an offer that it’s the Saints can’t say no to.
