Photo: Klopp’s 1st signing Marko Grujic celebrates title success

It was pomp and merry as Marko Grujic celebrated title triumph with his Red Star Belgrade teammates. This was the 27th time that the Serbian outfit won the SuperLiga, and the promising playmaker was a crucial part of the team that beat Vozdovac 1-0 to clinch the title.

Marko Grujic’s photos with team mates in a celebratory mood have been doing rounds on the internet as the playmaker ended his stay at the Marakana Stadium with yet another winner’s medal. The 20-year old was signed by Liverpool in the January transfer window but remained in his club on a loan deal that expires in June.

He was actually Klopp’s first signing at Liverpool, and reports say that he is one of the most promising playmakers in football, comparable only to Paul Pogba and Steven Gerrard.

Grujic has been influential to his team this season, scoring 6 goals in 28 SuperLiga appearances and he is expected to join the Merseysiders on June 30 2016 when his loan spell at Red Star expires. He cost Liverpool £5.1m and he will form part of the Reds team that expects to challenge for titles next season.

It was also celebration time at Anfield as Liverpool beat Villareal 3-0 to set up a Europa league final with Sevilla on May 18th 2016 at St. Jakob-Park.
Sevilla are looking forward to winning the crown for the third consecutive time while Liverpool would are looking for European football next season as they welcome Marko Grujic. Well, may the best team win.
