Player Says GOODBYE To Team Mates, Off To Old Trafford To Sign For United

According to reports, Manchester United have already sealed a deal to sign Jasper Cillessen but are holding back announcing the deal. United were thought to have sorted out personal terms to sign the Ajax goalkeeper a week ago, with the future of Victor Valdes and David De Gea yet to be sorted out.

Spanish outlet El Confidencial reported that the transfer has been agreed, with Cillessen having already said goodbye to his friends and teammates at Ajax.

Despite Romero’s arrival from fiorentina on a free transfer, Cillessen, is actually Loius van Gaal’s first choice goalkeeper target as he looks to re-assemble Manchester United’s goalkeeper pecking order ahead of the new season.

And reports also has it that Jasper Cillessen could miss Ajax’s Champions league qualifier on Wednesday so as to avoid being cup-tied ahead of a potential move to Manchester United. Jasper Cillissen started his career at NEC and moved to Ajax in 2011 for a fee of 3.2 million euros. He registered a successful claim rate of 99% last season, the fifth highest in the Eredivisie.
