REVEALED – LVG Already Signed SURPRISE Attacker, Medical Done, Fee Agreed – Not Pedro

Dutchman Louis van Gaal got the media wagging last week when he told the world that his next signing will be a surprise. Perhaps, that wasn’t the Dutchman’s intention, but the press and the fans would have none of that as they started linking the club with virtually every striker in Europe and South America. Names like Edinson Cavani, Robert Lewandowski, Pedro, and a couple of others.

Van Gaal had said “We have Rooney, who can play in striker position, and all the media had written he should play there so I listen and now you put this question so don’t know what you want.

“Also Chicharito and maybe Wilson, and maybe there comes a surprise. It’s a process. I’m not worried about the position.”

However, the Dutchman went ahead soon after the press misinterpreted his earlier statement to clarify things through another press briefing:

“I don’t know if I want to buy a striker. I have read in the media that a striker is the surprise. No, that I have not said. You are saying that, because my answer is like that. No, I mean something else.”

Despite the controversy over van Gaal’s statement, the biggest hint that the player the Dutchman has been talking about is already in the club was giving by a Dutch newspaper, Metro. The paper spoke to Depay’s former PSV teammate Stijn Schaars, manager Bert van Marwijk, and Ronald de Boer, who all agree that the new Man United player could also play as a striker for his new club.

Van Merwijk is quoted as saying “In modern football attackers must often change their position. Otherwise the game is too static.

“If Van Gaal to succeed at United, then he’ll use the qualities of Memphis to his best advantage. I have a good feeling about it. Memphis has Van Gaal’s trust and he seems to have a good time at United. Memphis exudes happiness.”
