Sanchez Heaps Praise On Arsenal Team Mates

Arsenal and Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has praised the quality of his teammates, and has declared that Arsenal can win everything if the players develop a winner’s mentality.

The Chilean international also spoke that he made the right choice to move to Arsenal in the summer.

He was at the heart of a transfer tussle between Arsenal and Liverpool, but his choice of North London has delighted fans of the club after his stellar display which has seen him score 12 goals in 18 appearances since his £32 million arrival from Barcelona.

In what is his first major interview since he moved to Arsenal, he was effusive in what he has seen since his arrival.

“People I trust told me really good things about Arsenal, about its greatness, and the quality of their players.” he told AS

“Now that i am here, sometimes I stop to look my teammates during the training session and I realise that I’m surrounded by a lot of quality stars. I have been impressed by their attitude and their talent. I know that with this team we can win many trophies in the coming years. I’m convinced.”

While some footballers are always quick to toll the media line, by just saying just the usual, the Chilean used a catch phrase winning mentality as what the players need to achieve great things. The quality is there as he acknowledged below

“I love how they create spaces, their individual and collective movements. I tell you seriously: I like what I see so much that I have repeated myself many times, that if we have the required winning mentality, if we are positive and try to win every single game, I know we can win any competition.”

What is immediately evident from the Chilean’s assertions is that he is clearly a winner, and that winning mentality is obvious from the way he has performed since he joined the club. He has been at the heart of everything Arsenal has done in the last one month, scoring six goals in four league games, with two assist, plus his one goal and two assist in the two matches against Anderlecht.

The Chilean’s goals have not just been to add something to the cherry; his goals have been key goals that have given Arsenal the lead at various times in matches. His goals against Leicester City, Manchester City, Hull City, Sunderland, Burnley and Swansea gave Arsenal the leads in those matches; he also scored the goal that took Arsenal to the group stage of the Champions League proper.

His mentality his easily reflected by his body language anytime Arsenal end a match without winning, the Chilean most times cuts a frustrated figure anytime Arsenal does not win, and that have been too frequent this season, as few of the matches he has opened the scoring has resulted in maximum points for Arsenal.

It is left to his teammates to replicate on the field the quality he says he has seen in training sessions, the other players’ only need to take a clue from the Chilean to up their game.
