SHOCKING HIJACK – Pedro Set To Join Chelsea As Manchester United Loses Out

With the chances of getting regular game time on the pitch ever dwindling ‎and with coach Luis Enrique publicly stating that Pedro’s wishes shall be respected regardless of what he decides if he wants to further stay at Camp Nou or jump ship and join another club, a move of the Spanish winger to Stamford Bridge is seemingly to be more likely. The Daily Star goes further by stating that a deal is expected to be finalised, as the premier league champions are willing to offer a sum of £22m to secure the services of the 27 year old world cup winner.
This seems to be a new twist to the transfer news thread of the Spanish foward. As it was reported last week or thereabout,Pedro was said to be headed for English heavyweights Manchester United for a reported fee of £16m which was agreed by both parties concerned. As it stands now, Jose Mourinhos Chelsea are said to be in pole position to sign the maligned winger from Barcelona. Probably he was not the ‘surprise’ foward Luis Van Gal was referring to all along.who knows?
If this turns out to be the situation of things, the transfer can be viewed as a real coup of a bargain,  for the West Londoners‎,taking into consideration the astronomical fee of £106m buy out close inserted in Pedros contract which Barcelona is willing to lower it considerably. The scenario of bearing another season within the periphery of the squad, not being viewed as a key player and also facing quite an herculean task of breaking the attacking triumvirate of Messi, Neymar and Suarez who were scoring for fun last season and setting the template of emerging as treble winners is not encouraging to say the least.
In his words, he said “Any player wants to have playing time but it is getting more and more difficult with every season that passes. I would like to have finished my career here. But we will have to see what happens. Obviously you are happier when you can play”.‎That’s just the life of a footballer succinctly described. With the European championship coming up next year, cooling his heels on the bench won’t do his chances of seeking a spot on the plane slated for France any good by the end of next season. It would be a real shame if he doesn’t make the squad.
Reaching his 28th birthday at the end of the month, for quite his whole career,Pedro has been buzzing just under the radar rather than being on it till date-the reasons are not far fetched if looked at quite closely. A product from the famed La Maria academy, he broke into the Barcelona first team at the age of 21and immediately had to slug it out for a spot on the field with the likes of Samuel  Eto’o,Thierry Henry,Zlatan ibrahimovic,Lionel Messi and now Suarez and Neymar for a place in the three pronged attack .Then it’s quite logical that fans and pundits would focus more on the stellar names and pay little attention to the likes of Pedro in a star studded line up.
Nevertheless, this quite played favourably in his path,as he went to develop as one classy winger that would run straight at defenders taking them on one on one, providing a killer ball for his team mates and having a keen eye for goal in the process which could bail the team out in tight situation when Messi ‎rarely falters.
Ex Barcelona and current Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola played a pivotal role in his development and when he left Barcelona Pedro could boast of a haul of trophies which includes World cup, European championship and two Champions league trophies. So therefore, its quite not surprising in the least that a host of top clubs like Arsenal,Liverpool and Chelsea would like to secure the services ‎of a proven player that as played at the highest level and with trophies to prove it despite the tricky situation Pedro finds himself currently. The special one is said to be the frontrunner in the race of signing the proven winger. Also Cesc Fabregas and Pedro are said to be good pals and that may work in the favour of the Stamford Bridge outfit and the possibility of them linking up together at Chelsea may just do the trick on winning him over by and large, Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has come out and say he will respect the wishes of the winger if he so desires to stay or leave. As far as the transfer thread rages on,one could say it’s ‘Advantage Chelsea ‘!
