Shocking News: Wayne Rooney Considering Move to China for £27million, Will Earn £500,000-a-week

Man Utd have received a mega offer for their skipper Wayne Rooney according to latest reports. The Mirror reports that the Red Devils have received a £27million bid from a China Super League club Shanghai Shenhua for the 30-year old striker.

The report claims that the Chinese club is ready to pay £500,000-a-week for a three-year deal to the England skipper.

Earlier, Manchester Evening News had also reported that United have received an offer from a Chinese club for their captain, and they are contemplating the offer.

The report claims that United are willing to sell Rooney if they manage to sign a marquee signing as his replacement in the summer.

Rooney, who has spent 12 years at Old Trafford, still has two years left on his current contract.

Rooney is the most marketable name in the United squad, and hence, United are reluctant to let him leave before they sign a world-class player in the summer transfer window.

Shanghai SIPG manager Sven Goran Eriksson recently claimed that Rooney would soon be playing in Chinese Super League. He said: “Sooner or later we are going to see names like Ronaldo, Messi and Rooney in this league, players on this level.”
Rooney is currently out with a knee ligament injury for six weeks.
