Striker Who 7 Goals In 9 Matches Could Replace Drogba At Chelsea

Chelsea is set to continue its recent love and romance with Brazilian football as they are set to add another brazilian young star- Anderson Souza Conceição Talisca to its  list of super stars. Chelsea already have in their rank a host of brazilian contingents like Felipe Luis, Oscar, Willian, Lucas Piazon (on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany), even Diego Costa and may add the Brazilian U20 Benfica forward into the fold during the summer.

Chelsea have made an enquiry about the attacking midfielder/striker’s availability and Benfica will entertain the idea to sell especially when a handsome transfer fee is involved according to reports. Mourinho is also a keen admirer of the youngster and is willing to bring the youngster to Chelsea stating that the only thing that stops the forward from moving to England is just a work permit.

“Some say he’s unknown. He’s so unknown the only thing stopping him from playing in England is a work permit.”- Mourinho

The 20year old has been capped by the Brazil U20 team twice and could be called upon for the senior side by coach Dunga for Brazil’s upcoming friendlies against Argentina and Japan.

He has scored 7goals for both Bahia in the Brasilerao and Benfica in Liga Don Sagres in a total of nine games combined with five of those goals coming for Benfica in six Portuguese Liga Don Sagres matches.

Talisca is well built with a height of 188cm and 72kg and would suit physical nature of the English Barclays Premier league. An attacking midfielder who likes playing from the left and cutting in but has shown that he is also capable of leading the line when called upon. He is technically gifted, strong in the air, can hold up play, can shoot from long range and is a threat in set pieces.

His notable weakness is his ability to get into tackles often and this has not left his disciplinary record clean leaving him with five yellow cards in nine match in all competition for both Bahia and Benfica. This shouldn’t be a source of concern though as he will eradicate this ugly side of his game, as he matures into the super star he is set to become.

With the Legendary Didier Drogba likely to retire from playing football at the expiration of his one year contract at Chelsea in the summer, this is the man Jose Mourinho will look to to take up Drogba’s position in the Chelsea rank even as Chelsea continue to attract the best of youngsters all over the world and more notably from the land of Samba.
