Super Agent Jorge Mendes Sorting £30m Deal For Manchester United, Medical Imminent

Super star agent Jorge Mendes has arrived in Manchester to convince United to allow Spanish goal keeper David De Gea to move to Ral Madrid according to the Mirror.

De Gea has been strongly linked with a return to his homeland through out the summer and Real Madrid the destination but with just a day left in the transfer window, he still remains contracted to the Old Trafford club but the aforementioned source claim that the next 24hours would be very vital if the deal would see the light of day.

Manchester United have been holding out for a fee in the region of £30 million but the Spanish club are unwilling to match the Old Trafford clubs valuation since the player has only one year left to run on his contract and could be available on a free by the next summer transfer window. However, the Spanish keeper’s agent who has helped broker high-profile deals for both clubs has flown to Manchester to ensure his client gets his wishes and convince Ed Woodward to compromise on his stance.

The 24-year old who joined from Spanish side Atletico Madrid in 2011 for £17.8 million initially struggled after arriving but has gone on to establish himself as one of the best goal keepers in the world. The goal keeper enjoyed a superb season last term featuring 37 times for the Red Devils and pulling strings of world class save after save. His superb perfomances bailed van Gaal on numerous occasions last season earning him the goal keeper spot in the PFA team of the season.

De Gea is yet to feature for the Red Devils this season as he has been sidelined by his coach until the dust settles on the whole transfer brouhaha.
