This Manager Told Abramovich he Wants to Become the Next Chelsea Manager, Get to Know Last 6 Candidates

Jorge Sampaoli has reportedly told Roman Abramovich that he wants to become the next Chelsea manager. Chelsea owner, Abramovich has Sampaoli in his shortlist for next Chelsea’s manager, but a decision has yet to be made.

Pep Guardiola was also on the list but following his decision to become Manchester City’s manager, Abramovich has to decide amongst the remaining possible candidates.

Antonio Conte, Diego Simeone, Mauricio Pochettino, Massimiliano Allegri and even Manuel Pellegrini who’d be placed by Guardiola as City’s manager, are all being considered for the job.

However, Jorge Sampaoli hopes that he is given the task to manage Chelsea next season.

Reports have suggested Diego Simeone is Abramovich’s first choice along with Conte and Allegri being close, but Sampaoli has now become the most probable choice after suggesting to be given the job.

Chelsea are currently being managed by their interim manager Guus Hiddink. They are currently 12th in the league, with no chance to qualify for the Champions League this season. Hiddink is set to leave Chelsea after season’s end and Abramovich doesn’t look keen to change his managerial position, permanent.
Also, with Sampaoli, being eager to take the job, Abramovich is likely to choose him considering Diego Simeone might most likely choose to stay with Atletico Madrid.
