Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte

Transfer twist: £27m-rated superstar will play at Stamford Bridge next season

Could Juan Cuadrado be back in a Chelsea shirt next season?  It seems incoming boss, Antonio Conte is an admirer of the fallen star. It is believed that Conte is keen to give Cuadrado a rare second chance next season. However, Juventus are not going to give in  without a fight. It is believed the Turin giants want to make the loan move a permanent one.

Cuadrado made a much anticipated move to Chelsea back in the January window of 2015 for a fee of approximately  £27 million  after attracting interest whilst playing for Fiorentina .

Unfortunately the plan did not go as expected as Cuadrado failed to establish himself in  the Chelsea squad. He made a mere 4 appearance for the Blues before being shipped off to Italy on a season–long loan. Cuadrado did not disappoint. The 27-year-old  Colombian has struck up some impressive displays for Juventus where he contributed to four goals and providing a further six assists in 27 Serie A appearances.

Lucky for Antonio Conte, who watches on, it appears one of the players  he admirers already belongs to his new club. He does not have to watch with envy as the player can simply return from loan. However,  it is not as easy as it appears as this news does not necessarily make Cuadrado want to run back to his old encounter.  He had the following to say

“When I got there, the squad was already really tight and solid,” the Colombia winger stated in a recent post-match interview.

“I don’t think I was given enough opportunity to show what I can do, but that’s football. I’m happy to be back being a protagonist with Juventus.”

The Colombian international appears content about continuing his career with Juventus, who wouldn’t be as they snatch another Serie A title while Chelsea are fighting just to remain on the top – half of the table . Juventus manager, Max Allegri, who recently penned a new deal is hopeful Juventus can finalise a deal. He is not bothered by Conte’s intention to bring back his player.
“I don’t think Conte will influence our decision – we will try to keep him here,” Juventus executive Giuseppe Marotta said last month.

Reports suggest that Roman Abramovich is willing to offer Oscar as a makeweight. This is all too much… Surely this is Chelsea ‘s player, you would think they have more power in this situation
