Manchester United is expected to make a move for highly-rated Southampton right-back, Nathaniel Clyne in the coming days. The Englishman whose form has been part of the reason why the Saints sit third on the Premier League table, has been a revelation this season.

A robust tackler, with 48 tackles so far this season, which is the second-highest in the Division, possessing a fierce shot coupled with a good dribbling ability, Manchester United Manager, Louis Van Gaal has identified the Southampton man as an able replacement for his current first choice right-back, Rafael. Clyne’s all-action performance in his club’s 0-1 away win against the team he is speculated to join has certainly not done his chances of earning a move to Old Trafford any harm.

Although his suitors are a long list of Europe’s elite teams, their interest has often stopped at admiration as they are often put off by the hefty transfer fee that a player of his capability would command in the transfer market.
