Wenger signing former Man Utd striker in January, United fans unhappy with LVG decisions

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has today made it clear that he will try his best to bring in reinforcements early in the January transfer window.

When asked if he would be signing early in January, Wenger said in his pre-match conference: “We are open-minded. We are not the only ones who can decide about the speed of the transfers because we have to adapt to the availabilities and the speed of negotiations and the willingness of clubs to sell. We are open to do something because we are short.”

Arsenal are linked with a surprise move with in-from Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez. Spanish publication Don Balo reports that manager Arsene Wenger has made Hernandez his priority signing in the January transfer window.

The Mexican international moved from Man Utd to the Bundesliga club for a reported fee of £7.3 million in the summer. He has since then taken Bundesliga by storm and has scored 18 goals for the German club.

There is interest from Italian clubs in services, but the player would be keen in a move back to Premier League. If this move materializes, it’s sure to upset Man Utd fans, who are already unhappy with Louis Van Gaal’s decision of selling him in the summer.
