Why Manchester United Can Gatecrash The ToP 4 Party

Seven teams will slug it out for a place in the top four but it is wrong to assume that Manchester United are far gone from the glory days. They may have had a bad season in 2013/2014 coming 7th place in the English Premier League but the English club have shown their intentions for 2014/2015 season with the new recruits. Manchester United had it rough under former boss, David Moyes but the arrival of Louis Van Gaal and six new players is bringing a new sign of relief to Old Trafford. Stats by www.livefootballtickets.com has shown more and more people are looking for Manchester United match tickets after the signings of the last 2 days of the just closed summer transfer window which is testament to the believe the fans now have in the team.

Few months back, many believed Manchester United will fail to lure in big name players to the club after their 7th placed Premier League finish. It must have been a surprise for many who expected nothing special to be made of Manchester United transfers. Funny enough Manchester United went all out in the last two weeks of the transfer window to record highest amount spent during the transfer window with over £150 million used in bringing in Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo.

Manchester United may have gone 3 games in the English Premier League without a win but if their display against Queens Park Rangers is anything to go by, Manchester United may have just bounced back from the horrible start to the season they suffered. It’s good to make arguments that Manchester United players played against a weaker side but the command of the game is what should be applauded. Some may also want to argue that it will take more time for the new players in Manchester United to adapt and gel in forming a formidable team, but what they all showed on Sunday clearly shows the players are world class players and are good enough to adapt as soon as possible. That’s simply the hallmark of world class players. With only Luke Shaw not part of the team that won on Sunday among the new recruits, Louis Van Gaal will be pleased with the defensive command from Marcos Rojo and creativity and playmaking role by angel Di Maria which saw him score and assisted a goal each. Ander Herrera’s solid midfield performance together with Daley Blind shows what United have been missing for a long time.

It may still be too early to believe Manchester United is back from the woeful form they displayed last season and early part of this season but the win against QPR surely will add to the confidence brought in by the new signings. Despite the bad start, it should be noted Manchester United is presently 1 point behind Liverpool and Arsenal with 2 behind Tottenahm and Manchester City while they remain level on points with Everton with Manchester United still having to play all the above named teams. With 34 matches left and no other competition to take his toll on the players, Manchester United have what it takes to make the top four this season with the required depth. No wonder the Executive vice Chairman of the club expects the tea to make the first three.
