Willian-Costa-Hazard In Attack – Chelsea STRONGEST Line Up For Porto Clash

For over two decades, Chelsea have never been faced with the difficulty currently bedevilling the club. After 38 weeks of dominance in the Premier League, Chelsea were crowned the Champions of England but this season, they have been appalling in their games. Hence, they have been unconvincing in their attempt to retain the Title.

With just eight points out of a possible 21 point in seven matches, the Blues are now left with so much pressure to win every match.

On the contrary, Chelsea started the Champions League brightly – they trashed Maccabi Tel Aviv in an empahatic 4-0 win. Following the poor show-off of the Israeli side, it was more like a walk over for the Blues.

However, Chelsea will travel to Portugal to face the side formerly coached FC Porto. Porto drew their first match against Dynamo Kyiv but they will give more competition to Chelsea than Maccabi Tel Aviv. The match has been tagged a must-win for Mourinho’s men to avoid further capitulation.

We expect Chelsea to line up this way

Goalkeeper:

With Courtois still out, Begovic will carry on with manning in-between the sticks for Chelsea. Jamal Blackman will be their as his back-up.

Defense:

Mourinho has struggled to find the balance in the defense. With the recent poor performance of Ivanovic and Zouma in the League, Mourinho might shake up the defense this way.

At right back, Azpilicueta might be moved to the right side and Rahman to the left. The later needs to be given more playing time to prove his mettle.

At the heart of defense, skipper John Terry will be back with Zouma.

Midfield

The midfield of Chelsea picked itself last season, with Fabregas and Matic shielding the defense line. However, the midfield has been catastrophic this season. However, Matic should still retain his place with Ramirez to play by his side, freeing Fabregas to be the creative hub of their style.

Attack

At the attack, Diego Costa will be back at top of the forward line, with Hazard and William playing from both wings, hence providing the speed needed to overrun their opponents.
