Zlatan to United? 44 goals in 47 matches star informed PSG about his decision

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been courted by every club in the world that could afford his astronomical wages, and Manchester United are certainly amongst the list.

Manchester United have been keeping close tabs on Zlatan, ever since his remarkable declaration that he intends to move on at the end of the season. If he does in fact move, United will be hoping it will be to the North of England.

It is believed that Zlatan has finally informed PSG of his intention to see out the contract, which expires at the end of this season. The hierarchy at PSG have been frantically trying to thrash out a new agreement and get Zlatan to stay, but despite their best efforts, he seems pretty determined to leave the city and seek perhaps one last challenge whilst he is competitive.

Jose Mourinho, who is expected to take over at the end of the season, has worked with Zlatan before at Inter Milan and knows the player can be the best striker in the world on his day. The Portuguese manager is also respected by Zlatan; one of the few people in football Zlatan does appear to respect.

After bagging 44 goals in 47 games this year, Zlatan is also being targeted by Chinese teams that have the cash to splash. Arsenal were rumored to be interested, but it would mean the frugal Wenger would have to dip deep into the Arsenal piggy bank and pay Zlatan more than double what his top stars currently earn.
Is he worth it? His girlfriend might not think so; Zlatan Ibrahimovic was once asked what he was going to get his girlfriend for her birthday. “Nothing, she doesn’t need anything, she has Zlatan.”
