1st January signing? Club in advanced talks to finalise deal for high rated striker

Liverpool and their new manager Jurgen Klopp have been keen on signing new players to help the club in their quest for a turnaround at the club and to maybe become one of the top-four teams in the English Premier League again after a long while. The manager has been highlighting a number of players as targets for the club and Brazilian star striker, Alexandre Pato, is one of the players that the manager has targeted for a transfer to Anfield.

The transfer talks have been on for a long while now and it does not look like it is going to reduce or stop until the player is wearing red at the Meyserside Reds. Recent reports are claiming that the talks between Liverpool and the striker’s club Corinthians have gotten to an advanced stage and the deal will soon be completed which means that the player will be arriving in the January transfer window.

The former AC Milan striker who is currently on loan at Sao Paulo has performed well enough to attract attention from a number of clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham while his agent, Riccardo Napolitano, has revealed that he is been pursued by at least 2 other Serie A clubs.

If this player is signed by any of the interested clubs, he will definitely become a player of impact as he is still young and has a lot to deliver at the age of 26. It remains to be seen where he will be playing by the end of the January transfer window.
