Chelsea have already started preparing their list of transfers for the summer. The latest player reportedly added to the list is Toni Kroos. The German international is in contract with Real Madrid, keeping him at the club until 2020.
This means Chelsea will have to pay a huge sum of money to make Madrid let go of Kroos. The Blues are currently under the management of Guus Hiddink, who will likely be replaced after season’s end.
The club is keen on revamping and strengthening its squad and the Madrid midfielder seems to be the ideal player to bring needed improvement. Eden Hazard is likely to leave for PSG in the summer, and Blues would be keen to bring in a replacement.
Kroos has started in 30 games for Madrid so far this season in all competitions but only has a goal and eight assists to his name.
Coming from Bayern Munich, the pace of the Premier League will suit him more, plus there will be far less competition for Kroos when it comes to team line-up as compared to Real Madrid.
Seeing if Chelsea does make an offer in the summer, Kroos is most likely to take the opportunity and move away from Real Madrid.
