21 Goals In 35 Games Chelsea Striker To Join Arsenal In January

According to reports in British and Italian media, Arsenal will face stiff competition from Chelsea in their quest to land Senegal and FC Sion striker Moussa Konate.

As per Calciomercato, the player’s agent has revealed that Arsenal, who appear to be in pole position for the player’s signature, have persistently made enquiries as to the availability of the hitman.

During the summer, Arsenal were heavily linked with moves for several striker/wingers in Europe including Karim Benzema, Edison Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi but they failed to secure a deal for any of the aforementioned players.

Following the long-term absence of Welbeck due to injury, the Gunners have converted Walcott as a striker in the interim, leaving Chameberlain as the only natural right winger in the team. Should Arsenal sign Konate, he will be played from the right wing of Arsenal.

The former FC Krasnodar player has bagged 21 goals in 35 appearances for his current club. the 22-year-old plays with pace and power and has been tipped to easily adapt the tough Premier League style of play.
