Also, the Metro claim an attractive offer of £6.76m per year in on the table for the 26-year old Chilean to remain in North London.

After his return from the Copa America tournament in Chile where he represented he host nation, Sanchez has gradually started showing his class for Arsenal once again by bagging a hat-trick for the North London club in their recent 5-2 victory over Leicester City in a Premier League game.

Wenger stated after that game that Sanchez is back to his best and will have another outstanding season for the Gunners, after helping the team secure the FA Cup title last term with his goals and creative abilities.

Alexis was in stupendous form for the Gunners on Sunday as he helped Arsene Wenger’s side inflict a heavy 3-0 defeat on Manchester United by bagging a brace. Arsenal now go into the international break second on the Premier League table, 2 points below leaders Manchester City.
