21 Goals In 42 Matches Striker To Sign For Arsenal, Will Earn £130,000-A-Week

Arsenal will make an effort to secure star forward Alexis Sanchez to a fresh five-year contract in an attempt to fend off interest from potential suitors, according to reports.

Sanchez has become an integral part of the Arsenal team since he joined the team from Barcelona for a reported £29.75m [per the Mirror] after impressing both the Gunners staff and players with his commitment and attitude, and now boss Arsene Wenger is keen to tie him down to a fresh deal at the Emirates stadium.

Knowing it is only a matter of time before Sanchez is being courted by several European heavyweights, especially Premier League giants like Manchester City and Chelsea, the Gunners have quickly moved by offering Sanchez a fresh five-year contract reportedly worth £130,000 a week, as per the Mirror. The Metro on the other hand claim an attractive offer of £6.76m per year in on the table for the 26-year old Chilean to remain in North London.

After his return from the Copa America tournament in Chile where he represented he host nation, Sanchez has gradually started showing his class for Arsenal once again by bagging a hat-trick for the North London club in their recent 5-2 victory over Leicester City in a Premier League game.

Wenger stated after that game that Sanchez is back to his best and will have another outstanding season for the Gunners, after helping the team secure the FA Cup title last term with his goals and creative abilities.

Sanchez will now be hoping he puts up another brilliant display for Arsenal this afternoon as they welcome Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United side to the Emirates.
