£25m Man United Target Agrees To Sign, Five Years Deal Almost Done, Medical Imminent
After losing out on Barcelona’s winger Pedro Rodriguez, Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of losing out on Argentine Nicolas Gaitan. According to reports from Portugal, It is understood that Italian side Juventus are not far off from landing the Argentine, with negotiations still ongoing between the two clubs. The 27 year old is reported to have turned down a move to Dubai based club Al-Ahli earlier in the transfer window in favour of a move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been linked with a Nicolas Gaitan since David Moyes was in charge of Manchester United, but the Red Devils have not had much luck in their pursuit for the Argentine. United were reported to have called in Super-agent Jorges Mendes into the Gaitan situation in a bid to resolve the transfer saga, but it seems things have not worked out in that fashion and Manchester United could be set to lose a third player within two weeks.
Manchester United’s transfer window has gone from great to worse in a few period of weeks. Despite bringing in the likes of Schweinsteiger , Schneirderlin , Depay , Romero and Darmian, the Red Devils have failed to make additions to deficient positions in the squad like the central defence and the striker.
Manchester United’s lack of goals thus far shows how much Louis Van Gaal needs to draft in an attacking option before the Premier League closes, having failed to replace Angel Di Maria yet. With the likes of Muller , Mane , Bale , Neymar all linked to Manchester United, the Red Devils have just few days to salvage their bad transfer window situation.
