£29m Bid ACCEPTED, Arsenal Attacker Target Set To Sign, Four Years Contract Almost Sealed

With the close of the window beckoning, the teeming Arsenal faithful are riding on the back of hope that Arsene Wenger will hearken to their voice and desire of buying an attacker in their quest to regaining the lost glory and pride of being crowned as the Premier League champions for the 13th time spanning their history.

This morning, there are reports that Arsenal are heading out to Germany in a bid to sign their long term target, Julian Draxler of Germany.

The Gunners style of play is hinged on the midfield where they look to retain possession more than their opponent – their style is made possible by the creative midfielders within their ranks in the likes of Ozil, Cazorla, Wilshere and Ramsey. Adding Draxler to the squad seems like a misplacement of priority or need.

Arsenal have been long linked with a move for the player and almost signed him in the penultimate season before they got Ozil. The 21-Year-old Germany international currently has a £51 million release clause in his contract. Nonetheless, reports in Italy are claiming that the Gunners are still looking to sign him as Bayern Leverkusen are willing to sell the playmaker for £29 million due to his persistent injury crises, as per the Mirror.

Arsenal have failed to score a goal in their two EPL games at the Emirates, this follows from the poor quality of their striker. Although, Draxler has been likened to Van Persie, the interest in him has called Wenger’s logic into question as the club needs a natural and lethal centre forward more than any area of the pitch.
