3 Reasons Why Chelsea Will Beat Tottenham This Weekend

Despite of Mourinho’s claim of being satisfied with his current crop of players and denial to be active in the transfer market of January, the need for a prolific goal scorer in the stead of Gabon and Borussia Dortmund attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cannot be overly emphasised.

Chelsea have been uncharacteristically shambolic this term with the strikers apportioned a major part of the blame. Just two days ago, Diego Costa reportedly fell out with Jose Mourinho and that has further raised speculations that the Spain international is close to exiting Stamford Bridge.

It is believed that the Blues are going to raid the Signa Iduna Park for the services of Aubameyang. The report claims Aubameyang is currently valued at €60 million and the Blues are willing to meet his valuation in January. Aubameyang has been in the form of his life despite being converted to a striker recently. He has scored 23 goals in 21 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions this term and looks like a good bargain if Chelsea can sign him.

It is highly unlikely that Thomas Tuchel will let him off his radar this January as they are looking to stage a comeback the Champions League. Dortmund are currently placed second in the Bundesliga log and Aubameyang is the best player in Dortmund at the moment; only a move in the summer looks more probable.

However, the transfer market comes with its surprises.
