5 Players Likely To Leave Manchester United In January
Manchester United were one of the most bullish clubs during the summer transfer window. A lot of players were sent out of Old Trafford – Robin Van Persie, Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria and Raphael were among those booted from the club.
However, Louis Van Gaal compensated for the sale of the aforementioned players with the acquisition of Darmian, Bastein Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Anthony Martial and Memphis Depay. Nonetheless, we expect more players to leave United in January than Van Gaal will buy.
These are the players we expect to be ousted from Old Trafford in January.
Victor Valdes
He arrived on a free transfer with so much prospect but has failed to live up to his bidding. It will be surprising if Valdes remain at Manchester United beyond January.
He had an altercation with manager Louis Van Gaal when the Dutch man told him to play with the reserve team of Manchester United. He hasn’t featured this season and it is highly unlikely that we’ll see him in the colours of the Red Devils.
Marcos Rojo
Rojo arrived at Manchester United late for their pre-season tour and that sparked a verbal fight between him and Louis Van Gaal. Although he’s been featuring regularly for Manchester United in the absence of Luke Shaw. He’s been linked with departing Old Trafford.
James Wilson
The attacker has scarcely featured for United in recent games. It is highly unlikely that Van Gaal has any plan for the youngster. Any January buy for United in the attack will definitely see him sent packing.
Paddy McNair
The most probable deal for the young defender is a loan deal to help him gain first team. McNair has been reduced to a fringe player for manager Louis Van Gaal.
With the consistent rumours of defenders to be monitored by United, McNair’s best bet is a loan spell in January.
Memphis Depay
Arriving from PSG with so many prospects, Depay was dubbed as the marquee signing in the stead of Cristiano Ronaldo. Alas, the Dutch winger has failed to live up to his bidding.
His off-pitch has been suspect to the extent that Ryann Giggs had to caution the youngster and Van Gaal was reportedly disappointed at his demeanour. He has been a disappointment largely, and just like Di Maria, we might see an unexpected end of the winger in United.
