5 Reasons Why Arsenal Will Beat West Ham On Sunday

Just two more days before the Premier League kicks off, the excitement and joy that competitive football is coming back cannot be hidden. So many questions have been raised before the start of the season and the answers shall be delivered over the course of the season. However for now we look forward to Arsenal’s match against West ham this weekend and give five reasons why Arsenal should have no problem being victorious against the Hammers.

Great Pre-season – Arsenal had a perfect pre-season and could not have asked for a better one. The Gunners had a 100 per cent win in their pre-season matches scoring a total of 14 goals and conceding just one. Momentum and morale is surely on Arsenal’s side and the Gunners should have no problems carrying it into their tie with the Hammers.

Aspirations – After back to back FA cup trophy titles Arsene Wenger and the Gunners will be hungry for that elusive Barclays Premier League trophy. Arsenal will be looking to improve on their back to back FA cup wins and break the long year wait for another Barclays Premier League title. For them to do this, the players know every match is important and will want to get the ground running quickly against West ham.

Fit Players – With just 3 players expected not to feature against West ham, Arsenal boast of a fully fit squad. Arsene Wenger has so many quality options to choose from for his starting 11 against West Ham and should have no problems fielding his strongest side against West ham.

Arsenal’s superiority over West Ham – It is no news that the Gunners have more superior players than West Ham.  On paper West Ham are not on the same level as Arsenal. The Hammers finished 12th last season in the Premier League 9 places below Arsenal. In terms of quality players in the squad, the gap between Arsenal and West ham is very visible and the amount of quality in Arsenal should be enough to put the Hammers to the sword.

Mental boost – Arsene Wenger finally broke his streak of never defeating Jose Mourinho in their Community Shield encounter. The Frenchman had gone 13 matches without defeating Mourinho and finally ended that streak with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea. A win like that should surely raise the morale level for the Gunners team. The victory against Chelsea should give Arsene Wenger and the whole team the mental boost and confidence to beat West Ham.
