Liverpool and Arsenal played out a thrilling 3-3 draw last night. The Gunners looked set to get all three points before Joe Allen popped up with an injury-time equalizer for the Reds.
Arsenal let slip the opportunity to extend the gap between themselves and Man City, who also drew their game against Everton at Etihad Stadium.

1) Arsenal keep missing opportunities to cement their grip on the title chase
Last night was a perfect opportunity for Arsenal to extend their lead over their main title rivals Man City to five points.
But once again they faltered. The manner of the draw would have hurt most as they were just a couple of minutes away from claiming a massive result.
The midfield duo of Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini are simply not up to the task. Ramsey, for sure, adds another dimension to the Gunners’ attacking threat, but his marauding runs forward leave too many gaps in the midfield.
Flamini was left behind, on too many occasions, to counter the Liverpool’s attacking threat in the midfield and he clearly wasn’t able to cope with it.
3) Will this game prove to be a turning point in Firmino’s Liverpool career
Roberto Firmino arrived with a reputation at Anfield in summer. But prior to last night’s performance, he only showed his talent in bits and pieces.
He scored two superb goals for the Reds last night and could have had a hat-trick. Jurgen Klopp must be hoping for the Brazilian to kick on from here.
4) Olivier Giroud is in the form of his life
The Frenchman scored a brace to take his season’s league goals tally to 12. He managed to miss an open net from three yards out in the first half, but his second-half more than made up for it.
The Gunners will need him in this kind of form till the end of the season if they aim to lift the Premier League trophy at the end of the season.
Even through, the Reds didn’t have their first-choice centre-back pairing available for the game, the defensive problems are obvious in the team.
They now have the worst defensive record in the top half of the Premier League table, and Klopp needs to do something about it soon.
