£58m Rated Star – ” I Spoke To Mourinho Twice”

A recent interview with Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne has brought about the revelation that the Belgian player only spoke to Jose Mourinho twice before his departure from Stamford Bridge. De Bruyne has revealed that him and Jose Mourinho rarely discussed about anything including his transfer away from the club.

Just like Schurrle , Cuadrado and Salah; De Bruyne failed to register appearances for Chelsea under Mourinho but went on become a huge hit at Wolfsburg. The Belgian turned his career superbly around through series of impressive displays that saw Wolfsburg secure a Champions League spot as well as being awarded the Bundesliga Player of the Year for the 2014/2015 season.

When asked about his former manager, He said  “I didn’t get any explanation. I only talked with him twice, Mourinho. That was before a game against Basel in November, where he said I was doing better and that I would get my chance.“And then again one week before January, that’s the day I said I wanted to go out because, even if I was training better, I was not getting any minutes. So for me it was better to go.”

Chelsea will definitely feel gutted about selling Kevin De Bruyne. The Blues improper handling of the Kevin De Bruyne situation led them to lose a very talented player. If Kevin De Bruyne had remained at the club, the 24 year old would have solved a lot of Chelsea’s attacking problems being faced at the moment.

Instead, the Belgian was not given a chance to prove himself at Chelsea and was sold at the first opportunity. The Blues should have opted to loan the Belgian till he started hitting his potential but the Blues choose to sell him and would have nobody but themselves to blame for their mis-dealings.
