6ft 4″ POWERFUL Arsenal Striker Target Agrees To Sign, Will Pen 5 Years Deal

There was a minor meltdown on Twitter on Monday shortly after Manchester United confirmed the signing of Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, who all along has been an Arsenal target these past seasons. Arsenal fans were miffed, perhaps, rightly too; but only time would tell if they have dodged a bullet by not signing the French international.

Some Arsenal fans may also not be too pleased with the news being reported by the Times that another target, Edin Dzeko, is now on the verge of moving to Roma. According to the paper (behind pay wall), AS Roma have verbally agreed personal terms with Manchester City striker. However, the paper reports that despite agreeing personal terms with the 29-year old Bosnian, both clubs are yet to agree on the transfer fee, as the English club values the player at £20 million, which has become a subject of dispute between the two clubs.

Interpret this as you would, it sort of bring the Gunners into the picture since it gives the club a glimmer of hope should they decide to move in with a bid. However, the Gunners may not wish to be drawn into a bidding war with any club over the signing of the 29-year old, which could all but end the club’s chance of signing him.

Dzeko, 29, struggled to tie down a regular shirt in a star-studded City side, that boast of a world-class striker like Kun Aguero. He was only able to register 4 goals in 22 appearances for the former champions last season.
