6ft 4″ Tall Powerful Box To Box Midfielder Set For Chelsea Move In January

Chelsea have had just a few players performing for them this season and this has contributed largely to their woeful season which leaves them in the 16th position on the English Premier League table after a series of terrible performances which has left the Blues with 7 defeats in 12 Premier League matches.

Youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek has however done his best every time he is fielded and has clearly been the best player on the field in a couple of matches. However, Mourinho still clearly does not trust him enough to play him more frequently and the player is reported to have become frustrated with life at Stamford Bridge and is hoping for a loan move away in January.

The 19-year-old central midfielder has only played 62 minutes of league football so far this season, on top of single appearances in the Champions League and Capital One Cup for the Blues. According to a report by the Times, Loftus-Cheek was promised a lengthy run in the side by the club manager Jose Mourinho but this promise has not been fulfilled and the midfielder has not appeared for the club’s first-team since playing the opening 45 minutes against Aston Villa on 17 October.

Loftus-Cheek, who is currently on international duty with England Under-21s, is currently attracting interest from Premier League teams and Championship teams and a few other European clubs and hopes to move on a temporary basis when the transfer window reopens in January.

Mourinho also publicly faulted the player after his appearance against Aston Villa and this could also have prompted the player wanting a move away when Mourinho said, “I think he has to look to the intensity and the defensive tactical work that people like Ramires, (Cesc) Fabregas did and he didn’t. He has to try to compare himself with others and understand why I didn’t keep him in the game for 90 minutes.”

It remains to be seen if Mourinho will allow the player move away from the club or not.
