Chelsea’s technical director and head of scouting, Michael Emenalo was spotted in the stands at the Mestella as Valencia took on Monaco in a fourth round qualifier for the UEFA Champions League. The Daily Mail however claim that Emenalo was scouting young French forward Anthony Martial.

At the center of his thought was 19-year old center forward, who has been under the radar of both Tottenham Hotspurs and Aston Villa. The youngster was initially believed to be available at £22 million earlier in the transfer window but AS are reporting that Chelsea have lodged a whopping €55 million offer for his services.

” Today, Martial is one of the hottest properties in European football. Chelsea reportedly made a 55 million offer for the France Under – 21 international. Monaco are determined to hold onto Martial this season but if the Ligue 1 side fails to qualify for the Champions League, it may force a rethink at the Stade Louis II “.
