Acca tips for the weekend

Bad news! The football season is nearly over! A few championship, promotion and relegation issues have been decided already, but in the couple of weeks remaining in the divisional races there’s still a lot for many teams to play for.

There are still plenty of betting opportunities for sport betting aficionados too! Here are a few tips if you are looking to put together a football acca for this forthcoming weekend’s fixtures.

EPL Win Acca

We know who the 2017-18 EPL champions will be – although in truth we’ve known since about October! Despite last month’s three-defeats-on-the-bounce hiccup Manchester City have secured the title and last weekend’s demolition of poor Swansea show they’re determined to end the season in style. Sunday sees them away at West Ham, but we think this game should be avoided betting-wise as neither side has very much to play for.

Liverpool at home to Stoke for the win should start your acca off nicely. Stoke are still trying to avoid the drop but the Reds will just be too good for them. Next up, chain in Newcastle to beat the dead-and-buried West Brom, and for Burnley to continue their amazing run with victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.

On Sunday Manchester United take on Arsenal, and we’re happy to recommend a win for Jose Mourinho’s men. Arsenal will be getting ready to think about life without Arsene, and they’ve been absolutely awful away from home all year. Those are our four tips, but if you want to increase your odds then tag on Crystal Palace to beat Leicester City, and Chelsea to take the spoils at Swansea.

Non-EPL Win Acca

If you want a dead-cert of the weekend then look no further than Fulham to beat Sunderland at Craven Cottage. Fulham are chasing Cardiff City hard in the hope of securing the second automatic promotion spot in the Championship, and won’t slip up against the division’s worst team.

Perhaps just as much of a banker is Wigan at home to AFC Wimbledon in League One. Wigan are already up but are battling Blackburn Rovers for the title, and should beat Wimbledon despite the Dons needing the points to ease the threat of relegation.

One of the biggest games of the day in the Championship will see Derby County travel to Birmingham to take on Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa. The Rams were starting to drop out of the playoff picture but a surprise midweek win over Cardiff has seen a steadying of their ship. Villa still have an outside chance of the second automatic promotion spot and will be too strong for Derby to overcome.

Nobody is asking whom Accrington Stanley are anymore, as they can be quite clearly found atop League Two after a sparking run of form and despite a shock loss to Newport County in midweek. Stanley only need a single point to win the title, but should take all three against Lincoln City on Saturday.

How many selections you place into your acca is up to you of course, so if you’re looking to go beyond our four tips, we’d suggest you go for Wolverhampton Wanderers to beat Sheffield Wednesday, Luton Town to beat Forest Green Rovers, Queens Park Rangers to beat Birmingham City and Blackpool to beat Shrewsbury Town.

Don’t forget you can mix up these EPL and non-EPL win accas to give yourself the best chance of a significant return for your wagering outlay.
