ACCEPTED – Manchester United Gets Update On Thomas Muller Chase

Per his Twitter account, Manchester Evening News’ James Robson (@JamesRobsonMEN) is reporting that although Manchester United want to sign Bayern hitman Thomas Muller, they accept it is impossible for the Bundesliga side to sell their coveted goalscorer to them.

“United want Muller but accept Bayern won’t let a 2nd star head to Old Trafford #MUFC,” Robson tweeted.

Squawka notes that Muller has been linked with an Old Trafford move ever since Louis van Gaal assumed responsibilities of manager at Man United.

Metro claims the Red Devils tabled a £7.1m-a-year offer to the 25-year old in order to convince him to join them, while Telegraph says a £50m offer has been submitted by United.

The Red Devils have already signed one of the BuLi champions’ top star in Bastian Schweinsteiger and Bayern stated immediately after the announcement of an agreement of a deal that none of their top players would join the Premier League club this season.

However, Goal says as soon as United’s latest in the potent forward filtered out yesterday, Bayern’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge reiterated that Muller is not for sale.

Metro cites German magazine Kicker’s report that Muller has a £160,000-a-week offer on ground from United, with van Gaal intensely pursuing the renowned goal poacher.
