The Red Devils, after losing out to Chelsea on the signature of Barcelona’s Pedro Rodriguez, are on the verge of making an offer for the 22-year-old Brazil international midfielder Filipe Anderson. This is according to ESPN.

Last week, Louis Van Gaal revealed that is hasn’t come off the transfer market yet as he is keen on adding player(s) to his rank if he finds them as quality.

Filipe has been described as a quick, hardworking and technically gifted player and is thought to have so much similarity with former Manchester United target, Pedro. Meanwhile, the reports are claiming that, the Red Devils have fully turned their attention to Lazio in other to pull a deal for the versatile midfielder.

Manchester have been on the look out for attacking players following the depatures of Di Maria, Falcao and Van Persie- these departures have left the attacking line of United without bite as they have managed to score only two goals in their three Premier League games so far this season. Their last EPL match against Newcastle ended in a barren spell.

Filipe Anderson achieved 10 goals and nine assist in 27 games across all competitions as at April this year, and he has become one of the mainstays in the Lazio team. He has been tipped to come good with the prospect he has shown so far.
