After Scoring 31 Goals Last Season, £45m Manchester United Target Signs Deal

Tottenham striker Harry Kane – who is allegedly a target for Manchester United – has agreed to join the growing lists of BT Sport Ambassadors after signing a deal, reports the Daily Star.

Other football persons who are Ambassadors for BT Sports include Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho as well as legend Didier Drogba, Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and former Manchester United defence stalwart Rio Ferdinand.

As per Daily Star, Kane is delighted with his decision to join BT Sport and is looking forward to featuring in their new adverts, just as the football icons who have become ambassadors for the brand have done.

Kane, 21, who was the highest-scoring English player in the Premier League last season with 31 goals in all competitions, said: “Last season was an incredible one for me and I’m hoping to build on that this season for both Spurs and England.

“I’m delighted to become a BT Sport Ambassador and honoured to join the likes of Gareth Bale in the line-up.

“BT Sport is going to be showing an incredible programme of games this year, including 38 games in the Barclays Premier League and all the live European football.

“I hope Spurs can make it even better by going a long way in the UEFA Europa League.”

Kane rose to prominence last season, after dislodging Emmanuel Adebayor and Robert Soldado to be Spurs first-choice striker, and the England international striker repaid Mauricio Pochettino for the faith and trust he put in him.

His admirable goal haul has now alerted Manchester United who are understood to be eyeing a move for the £45m goal poacher. However, Pochettino has declared he is not for sale. But with Spurs in pursuit of West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, the London club could be preparing for life without Kane.
