After Signing Pedro, Chelsea Set To COMPLETE £56.8m Griezmann Signing

Following the Blues shambolic start to this season, It is no longer news that the billionaire owner of Chelsea Abrahamovic has moved to the rescue of the EPL defending champions with the latest report claiming that the proprietor of Chelsea has sanctioned a move for French forward Antoine Griezman in a £21m opening bid.

It was earlier reported that Chelsea had tried to sign the French forward from Athletico Madrid at the inception of this summer, but they were dissuaded by Athetico madrid’s refusal to let the winger move.

However, as per the Daily star, Chelsea are now heading to Spain for the 24-year-old France international after the owner of Chelsea had giving go-ahead to the Blues delegation to make a £21m bid for the skilful forward.

The start to the Blues season has seen the Blues scored two goals in two games with the likes of willian, Falcao and Remy experiencing poor form. It is thought that Greizmann would reinforce the attacking line of Chelsea with his eye for goal. He scored 22 goals in 37 appearances for his club last season and aided his club to ending the season as second runners up in the Spanish La Liga.

The France born attacker had his release clause upped by £56.8m and it is unlikely that Atletico Madrid would accept any offer below his valuation as bench-marked by his buy-out clause but Chelsea are keen on landing the forward and will tempt Atletico’s resolve.
