Manchester United have been set on red alert as they face serious competition for Valencia’s Andre Gomes from Italian giants Juventus and possibly Chelsea.
As former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho looks increasingly likely to take over from Louis Van Gaal in the summer if the Dutchman gets the boot at Old Trafford. A report earlier suggests that Andre Gomes would be heading to Old Trafford as the youngster and Mourinho share the same agent, super-agent Jorge Mendes. It is now understood that Juventus more than willing to splash out £24million to land the highly rated midfielder.
Manchester United have now be alerted as reports surfacing in Italy suggests that the Red devils supposed deal with Andre Gomes is looking increasing unlikely as super-agent Jorge Mendes is set for talks about a possible deal that will see the Valencia man move to Turin, Italy.
With these latest development, Manchester United would have to act fast if they are counter the offer already tabled by the Italian heavyweights.
Jorge Mendes who represents Jose Mourinho and a host of ex-Manchester united players including Cristiano Ronaldo would definitely play a big role in the future of Andre Gomes. The super-agent is also courting Chelsea about a possible move.
Gomes is highly rated by the Valencia faithful and the club would love to keep hold of the playmaker or collect the highest possible transfer fee but their dreadful season would make it difficult for them to keep hold of their star man.
