Agreement Reached, Chelsea To Complete Transfer Of £80,000-A-Week Star

The arrival of Pedro Rodriguez to Chelsea gives Jose Mourinho several attacking options at his disposal, however one or two players will be deemed surplus to requirements and the Chelsea manager will be looking to reduce Chelsea’s wage bill by axing one or two players from the squad.  Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado who has been linked with an exit away from Stamford Bridge could be among the players axed from the club.

The 27 year has struggled to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge despite just spending six months at the club and could be on his way back to Serie A. Italian giants Juventus are said to be keen on reviving the 27 year old’s career by offering him a chance to join them.

However, Chelsea have reportedly slammed a £18 million price tag on the Colombian as opposed to the £26 million spent to bring the player initially to the club. The Blues will be looking to make minimal loss from the sale of Cuadrado but Juventus is expected to re-negotiate Chelsea’s asking price to an amount suitable for the Italian giants.

It is believed that Juventus will be open to loaning the Colombian in case an agreement isn’t reached between the two clubs. However it remains to be seen if Jose Mourinho will be hoping to capitalise on Juventus interest in Cuadrado to lure Chelsea target Paul Pogba to Stamford Bridge.
