Alexis Sanchez urged to join Bayern Munich by international team-mate

Arturo Vidal has urged his compatriot, Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal and join him at Bayern Munich. The pair play together for Chile during international fixtures although they have never worked together at club level and Vidal thinks they could form a lethal Chilean partnership in Germany.

Arturo Vidal has been subject to rumors and speculation regarding his own career as a host of clubs across Europe would love to get his signature. Does this latest rumor mean that he intends on staying at Bayern Munich? Despite Pep Guardiola jumping ship next year and heading to the Premier League, Arturo Vidal seems to be enjoying life in Munich and wants some company.

When asked about the rumors concerning the future of Alexis Sanchez, Vidal said: ‘Hopefully! We have played together since playing for the Under-20s, so it would be nice to play with him again!’

Sanchez has enjoyed a good time at Arsenal since leaving Barcelona, scoring 39 goals in 88 games for the North London side. He certainly gets more game-time than when he played second-fiddle to Messi, Xavi and Iniesta at Barca but he is understood to be concerned at the lack of silverware.

Arsenal were favourite for the league at one point until a capitulation saw them crash out of Europe, lose in the FA cup and fall some way off the pace of Leicester in the Premier League.

Time will tell if Alexis Sanchez intends to form a Chilean connection in Munich. Perhaps the chances of it happening will depend on Bayern’s trophy haul this year.
