Almost Done – £80,000-A-Week Striker Set For Chelsea Transfer

Following the acquisition of Colombian hit-man, Radamel Falcao by English Premier League side, Chelsea, on a season-long loan deal, it appears that the Blues’ faithful back-up striker, Frenchman Loic Remy, is on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

Having had to agonizingly wait for injuries to first striker Diego Costa to occur last term before seeing playing opportunities- which he took and used judiciously, scoring 7 times in only a few appearances- the French man is reportedly not ready to play second fiddle to Costa for another season: and with the arrival of Radamel Falcao on loan, whom coach Jose Mourinho swore to rejuvenate, it all seems that his playing chances at the bridge have got slimmer; hence his earnest desire to seek greener pastures elsewhere.

Fellow English side Newcastle have already indicated strong interest in the 28 year old Frenchman’s services, and have reportedly promised him regular playing time at the club.

Elsewhere in Europe, Besiktas of Turkey more precisely, have also indicated strong interest in Remy’s services and may even table a big-money bid for the player, as they seek to replace current goal-machine and former Chelsea player, Demba Ba.

It appears that coach Jose Mourinho favours a move abroad for Remy instead, and would look to open talks with Besiktas and hopefully effect a transfer, before the close of the transfer window.
