ALMOST DONE – Arsenal On VERGE Of Signing A DM Finally, Truly WORLD CLASS DM

In a plot twist to this year’s summer transfer window, Arsenal have made an opening bid for Barcelona’s defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets. The Gunners recently just tabled a £24 million pounds offer for the 27 year old. It is no surprise that Gunners are bidding for Sergio Busquets having identified the striking and defensive midfield positions as areas to be strengthened for the season to enable them challenge for a major silverware.

With the likes of Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini starting to gracefully decline and Francis Coquelin who is very talented but yet inexperienced, Arsene Wenger will be looking to add an already established defensive midfielder.

Having failed to sign Arturo Vidal and Morgan Schneiderlin to both Bayern Munich and Manchester United respectively, the Gunners boss has turned his sights to Spanish International Sergio Busquets. The 27 year old midfielder who came through the ranks of Barcelona’s academy has won virtually every trophy there is to win playing for Barcelona and may be poised to join Arsenal in search of a fresh challenge.

Sergio Busquets can be regarded as one of Barcelona’s unsung heroes. Most people are carried away with the likes of Neymar, Suarez and Messi but fail to realize how important Sergio Busquet is to the team. Over the years Busquets has excelled as Barcelona’s ball winner and distributor. The 27 year old completed 91.7 percent of his passes and won 72 percent of his tackles last season. It would be understandable if Barcelona play hard ball in selling Sergio Busquets but I also expect Arsenal to not relent in their efforts to sign Busquets.
