Almost Done – Chelsea To Complete Transfer £75,000-A-Week Star On Friday

Mohammed Salah is on the verge of making a permanent move to Fiorentina. According to the Daily Express his permanent transfer from Chelsea to Fiorentina will be completed within 48 hours. The paper believes that a deal has already been sealed by the two sides.

A productive two year spell at Basel threw him into the spotlight as clubs queued up for his signature, but Chelsea were able beat all comers to him and eventually got him to Stamford Bridge for a fee of £11 million.  It was not plain sailing though for Salah who found minutes to come by making just 10 league appearances in towards the end of the 2013/14 season. Last season proved tougher as he managed just a combined total of 41 minutes across 3 substitute appearances.

He was sent on loan to Fiorentina in a deal that saw Juan Cuadrado joining Chelsea and there he had a productive spell. A second successive loan switch followed in January where he continued his impressive run for the Viola scoring 6 times in 16 appearances. His contributions helped Fiorentina to a 4th place finish in Serie A and also reaching the Europa League semi-finals.

All this has convinced Paulo Sousa to a lengthier Fiorentina stay tying him down to a permanent deal.
