Almost Done – Chelsea To Complete Transfer Of £80,000-A-Week Star Next Week

If reports from the Turkish media today is anything to go by, Beşiktaş is set to complete the signing of 28 year old Chelsea striker Loic Remy. According to various reports, Remy is on his way out of Chelsea this season and he has made it clear to Jose Mourinho he will leave after the club signed Ramadel Falcao to further reduce the chances of the Frenchman’s first team playing time.

Beşiktaş, if reports from Turkey are true, are set to rescue the player from his nightmare from Chelsea as the Turkish side hope to announce the signing of the player next week having agreed personal terms with the striker. West Ham were said to be in the running for the player but if newer reports are true, it seems the hammers have lost out on the player.

Should Remy leave Chelsea this summer, it will remain to be seen who will be the club’s third choice striker especially as Drogba who was third choice last season has left the club. This could however mean Chelsea are confident of completing the signing of Antoine Griezman.

Letting Remy go and bringing in Griezmann would make a lot sense. Griezmann is a better player than Remy and he can play on both sides of the wing as well as in the centre of midfield or as a second striker when needed.
