ALMOST DONE – Manchester United On The VERGE Of Signing WORLD WINNER

Manchester United may have offered Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos a mammoth amount of money to lure him away from the Spanish giant this season. The offer will see the Spanish international earn a staggering £8.5  million annually, should he decide to switch clubs, according to the Metro.

The recent impasse between Ramos and Madrid seems to have attracted the attention of the former league champions, and now sees this as an opportunity to attract the World Cup winner with an offer that looks too good to be turned down by a player of his status. Both club and player are having issues coming to terms on a new contract, which would have seen Ramos earn a substantial increase to his current contract.

Quoting a Spanish newspaper, AS, the Metro reports that Ramos has demanded a transfer out of the 10-time European Champions, and sees United as a possible destination. United on the other hand, want to sign an experienced defender to help shore up its defence; and Ramos seems to fit in perfectly to the club’s plan.

Also reporting the story, the Mail believes that the deal that will see the 29-year old defender is close to sealing a deal to Old Trafford after United tabled a concrete offer.

Ramos, though 29, would represent a massive statement of intent for a United team that are in ‘desperate’ need of a defender of his status to compete for the EPL title next season. As a matter of fact, the player would represent a significant upgrade on Nicolas Otamendi, another major target of the club.
