That Manchester United could do with another striker in their team is a fact that is well know to all and sundry. And alot of high profile strikers have been linked to the club by various media outlets in the last few weeks. Cavani, Dybala, Benteke, Icardi, Carlos Bacca and a host of others. Cavani has reportedly decided to stay with PSG for one more year, Icardi just renewed with Inter Milan, Dybala went to Juventus. Of the remaining two ( Bacca and Benteke ) one may be going elsewhere.
This is because if a report by Gazzetta Dello Sport an Italian media outlet is anything worth taken seriously, then Manchester United may be losing out on the opportunity of signing high rated Europa League winner Carlos Bacca of Sevilla. Bacca who had more than 25 goals in all competition for Sevilla in the just concluded season was thought to be on his way to Manchester United as a replacement for his country man Radamel Falcao.
Gazzetta are reporting the player and AS Roma have reached an agreement on person terms and should both Sevilla and Roma come to an agreement, the Colombian will be dorning Roma’ coloring in the Serie A and champions league next season.
Bacca, 28, scored 28 goals and created 9 assists in 41 starts for Sevilla in all competition last season. Importantly, he scored two goals for Sevilla in the final of the Europa league as they want the secondary UEFA club competition back to back.
He has also been linked to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
