Real Madrid’s defender Nacho has been linked with a move to the Emirates. The 26-year-old defender has been on the radar of Italian clubs such as Roma and Napoli, but according to Evening Standard, Premier League clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea have also entered the race to acquire Nacho’s services.
Despite being a product of Real Madrid’s academy, he has struggled to find his place in the first-team and is reported to be leaving the Spanish club for better chances elsewhere. In the season so far, he has only managed to appear in eight La Liga fixtures for Real. His last appearance was against Valencia at the beginning of this month.
Having spent two and a half seasons after being promoted to the senior squad at Madrid in 2013, Nacho has made a total of 71 appearances for the club, but only started in 36 of those in La Liga and Champions League combined.
According to ESPNFC, Serie A club, Roma have made a €8 million offer earlier this week, after departure of their defender, Ashley Cole. Since there are little or chance of his stance improving at the Bernabeu, the player might depart from the club in the remaining ten days of the window.
